This was a total gut renovation consisting of new kitchen & bathroom, new HVAC system install & new electric & plumbing. The project took 4 months to complete and came out beautifully!

We were hired to renovate all common areas in an 8 story apartment building. Work consisted of framing new sprinkler soffits, sheetrock, patching and painting walls, ceilings, doors, and frames as well as replacing carpets. The place looks awesome!

Smart Coats is currently contracted to perform flooring projects on multiple sites for different property management companies. Our crews are working daily in some cases, replacing carpet floors with new Mohawk Simplese vinyl planking. Most of these apartment jobs are done in a single day so that the property management can lease the units right back for a higher premium! We perform hundreds of these types of jobs per year around the Massachusetts and Rhode Island area.

This was a total gut renovation. The apartment is part of an 8 unit family building that was built in the 60’s. We removed everything down to the studs and rebuilt it, including running new gas lines, plumbing pipes, HVAC system, all new electrical, blue board, plaster, doors, windows, and renovating the kitchen and bath. The entire job was done in less than 3 months.

This was one of our returning clients. They bought an apartment and needed help with design and installation of a kitchen and new bathrooms. We helped select the finishes and rebuilt them, opening up the kitchen to allow for an open floor plan. The work consisted of new electrical and plumbing work, and was completed in under one month!

Smart Coats was hired to update the lobby and common area hallways of this Stoneham nursing home. We had to perform this work at night since the facility was very busy during the day. We replaced the carpets with new ceramic tile, installed all new lighting, acoustical ceilings, lighting, tile, baseboard, wall paneling and a reception desk which we built ourselves. We contracted with Norfolk Hardware to get the counters installed. We brought the facility from the 60’s into the new age!

This is one of our largest undertakings, a 200 unit complex renovation of kitchen & bathrooms in vacant and occupied apartments. We had multiple crews working over a year to complete the work on time and on budget for one of the area’s top property management companies. This is one of our repeat business clients who has continued to work with us over the past few years.

We helped a couple paint their entire house before moving in. The kitchen was the biggest challenge – upon checking the ceiling for moisture damage, we opened it up to find old horse hair plaster and metal lathe construction. It made a heck of a mess, but we were able to confirm that there were no signs of damage from water or mold. We closed up the ceiling, applied stain block primer, and painted. After that issue, everything on the rest of the house went smoothly. We used Benjamin Moore Regal Select interior paint for excellent coverage over existing colors as well as superior durability.

Smart Coats was hired to renovate a lobby and common area of the hotel. We worked day and night to make sure the project was done on time and had minimal effects on the guests. The work consisted of electrical and finish work, front desk refacing, and renovating the dining area breakfast bar and bathroom. We continue to work with this client on their other sites.

Smart Coats was hired to renovate 6 shower rooms. We were able to take 3 shower rooms off line at a time and work on them simultaneously. Work included complete demolition, new sub floor, new rough & finish plumbing & electrical work, knockdown texture finish on walls. Towel warm drawers were installed in laminate closets which were built by us in our shop. The bathrooms came out beautiful!
