After a particularly bad experience with the lowest bidder on our exterior painting job (shut down by the city for violating lead laws), Smart Coats came to the rescue. Ed worked everything out with the city to take over for the previous contractor and ensure that all regulations were followed. They did an amazing job removing many layers of old paint and re-painting our 1890 Victorian. I couldn’t recommend them more.

The Smart Coats crew did a great job on our kitchen and both bathrooms. From the planning to the execution the project was completed on time and on budget. There’s always problems that happen on projects like this and of course we ran into a few but what really impressed me was how quickly the problems were solved and the fact that they were able to implement those solutions almost immediately in order to continue work uninterrupted. I would absolutely hire this company again for future work.

I was not only impressed by the quality of the paint job, but also by the professional manner of the Smart Coats crew. The work was done in a timely manner and workers were well trained and courteous. They were super meticulous and took pride in doing a top-notch painting job. My house under went a transformation from being an eye-sore to being “a jewel in the crown” of the neighborhood. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company to my friends and family.
